GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF COMPETITIONS CONDUCTED BY BUILD IT PLUS BURMEISTERS

All participants, by entering the competition, agree to be bound by these terms and conditions:

Burmeister & Co (Pty) Ltd (“the Promoter”) is conducting this promotional competition (“the Competition”).

The promotional competition is open to all South African residents who are 18 years or older and are in possession of a valid identity document, passport or document of proof of South African residency. Any director, member, partner, employee, agent or consultant of the Promoter, the marketing service providers or any person who directly or indirectly controls or is controlled by these entities, including members their spouses, life partners, business partners or immediate family may not enter or participate in this promotional competition and will automatically be disqualified upon entry.

Entries

A person may enter as many times as they like, unless restricted by competition specific rules.

Selection of Winners

Participants must enter their correct/legible contact details.  If a winner has given incorrect contact details, the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner in terms of these rules.

Retention

Winners will be announced on the Promoters website and on its social media platforms. By entering the competition, prize winners agree to the publication of their name and photograph.

The Promoter reserves the right to use the images taken of the winner for publicity purposes in any manner they deem fit, without remuneration being made payable to the winner. However, the winner has the right to object to these images being used by written notification to the Promoter at: Burmeisters, Cnr Fleet & Signal Street, Quigney, East London ;  Att: Managing Director by no later than draw date.

Any personal data submitted by you will be used solely in accordance with current South African data protection legislation and the Promoter’s privacy policy.

The Promoter shall not be responsible for any lost, damaged, delayed, incorrect or incomplete entries for any reason whatsoever.

The prize(s) is(are) not or transferable, and if not taken up for any reason, may be forfeited or be the subject of a separate draw or be allocated at the Promoter’s discretion to another winner.

Promotional images are merely a representation of the prize and the actual prize may vary. The promoter reserves the right to substitute any of the prizes for a different brand of similar value. The winner will be responsible for any costs resulting from accepting the prize.

The Promoter shall have the right to change or terminate the promotional competition immediately and without notice, if deemed necessary in its opinion and if circumstances arise outside of their control.  In the event of such change or termination, all participants agree to waive any rights that they have in respect of this promotional competition and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Promoter or its agents.

Neither the Promoter, its agents, its associated companies, nor any directors, officers or employees of such, shall be liable for any loss or damage, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise arising from any cause whatsoever, which may be suffered by a participant resulting from the participation in this promotion or the use of any prize.

The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Participation in the promotional competition constitutes acceptance of the promotional competition rules and participants agree to abide by the rules.

In the event of a dispute regarding any aspect of the competition and/or these terms and conditions, the decision of the Promoter will be final and binding and no correspondence may be entered into.

The Promoter may refuse to award the prize if entry procedures or these terms and conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices.

Winners may not win a Burmeisters & Co (Pty) Ltd competition more than once in a 90 (Ninety) day period. Any winners selected who have won a Burmeisters & Co (Pty) Ltd competition in the last 90 (Ninety) days from date of selection of the winner will be disqualified from the competition and another winner will be drawn.  A person or their company may only win one prize per competition, unless otherwise stated.

Prize winners will be required to show proof of Identity when collecting their prizes, and sign as acknowledgment of receipt of the prize. Prize winners Name, Identity number, Date of receipt, and signature will be collected and kept solely for purposes required as per The Consumer Protection Act, No 68 of 2008 section 36(3)(a).

Your participation in the competition means you accept all terms and conditions above, as well as any Competition specific terms and conditions listed on the entry box and entry forms. Additional competition specific terms and conditions may apply to individual competitions and will be stated on entry boxes; social media and/or website depending on method of entry.
